MarkReader Last updated: June 22, 2026
MarkReader (“the App”) is a local markdown and code file reader for Android. This privacy policy explains what data the App accesses, how it is used, and your choices regarding that data.
All file processing is done locally on your device. The App does not transmit any data to external servers. Specifically:
MarkReader requests no permissions. Files are opened through Android’s standard content URI system, which does not require storage permission.
The App does not use any third-party services that collect data.
No data is stored beyond what you explicitly save to your device. Uninstalling the App removes all associated app data.
The App does not knowingly collect any data from children under the age of 13. The App does not collect personal information from any user.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
If you have questions or concerns about this privacy policy, please open an issue on the project’s GitHub repository.
