Privacy Policy

Noty Last updated: June 17, 2026

Overview

Noty (“the App”) is a note-taking app that pins your notes as persistent notifications. This privacy policy explains what data the App handles and how.

Data Collection and Usage

Everything stays on your device

All of your notes are stored locally on your device in a private database. The App has no network access and does not transmit any data to any server or third party. There are no accounts, no cloud sync, and no backups to external services.

Permissions and why they are requested

Permission Why it is requested
Post Notifications (Android 13+) To display your notes as notifications in the status bar — the core function of the App.
Receive Boot Completed To restore your pinned notifications after the device restarts.
Foreground Service / Foreground Service Data Sync To keep the lightweight background service running so your notifications stay active.

The App requests no sensitive permissions — no location, camera, microphone, contacts, storage, or internet access.

Data the App does NOT collect

Third-Party Services

The App does not use any third-party services that collect data.

Data Retention

All data is stored locally on your device and can be cleared at any time by clearing the App’s data or uninstalling it. Uninstalling the App permanently removes all notes.

Children’s Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any data from children under the age of 13. The App does not collect personal information from any user.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
